Why do we need you ?

This role is responsible for providing leadership, direction and service delivery for Supplier e-Engagement in the Finance Shared Service Center (SSC) that includes vendor master data management (MDM) and supplier digital engagement activities, i.e. - supplier e-Invoices, vendor helpdesk, supplier portal, and other suppler related activities. As a key leader in the Finance SSC Purchase-to-Pay (P2P) organization, the incumbent will ensure optimal deployment of supplier e-engagement processes across all Saint-Gobain North American (SGNA) business units (BU) who are customers of the SSC, overseeing suppliers with invoices totaling nearly $5 billion annually.

This role shall effectively deliver the services of the supplier experience and e-Engagement activities for SGNA BUs by fostering a culture of process excellence, digital adoption and leveraging critical data and analytics to provide insights that drive key business actions across the supplier engagement scope within the Finance SSC. This position will provide leadership and direction, with strong collaboration to the SGNA Purchasing team, ensuring that services are delivered as expected with a high degree of quality and on time to meet the requirements of the customers while enabling a productive and efficient supplier experience.

The incumbent will manage Suppler e-Engagement service delivery performance by working closely with the offshore team, the broader P2P team, SGNA Purchasing and the SGNA Performance Management team to define performance criteria for the process area, review actual performance, and enforce an appropriate governance framework to ensure high quality services and that contractual commitments are met by all parties.

This position plays a key role in developing and implementing the supplier-related strategic objectives, including deployment of the Supplier Portal, along with implementing a strong service culture while fostering an inclusive and collaborative team environment. In this role, the incumbent has the opportunity to lead within the P2P organization at a global level, driving end to end transformation, creating a positive end user and supplier experience. It is here where the incumbent will take master data and the supplier experience to another level with contemporary technologies, and data driven improvement opportunities to further drive transformation to a single standard process across North America.

Is this job for you ?
  • BS/BA in Accounting, Finance, Business or relevant experience.
  • A masters degree is a plus.
  • 15+ years of professional experience in Finance or Purchasing.
  • Managerial experience progressing through more senior and complex roles, ideally with experience operating in a Shared Services organization
  • Self-starter, lead initiatives and drive activities independently
  • Proven track record of developing high performing organizations and managing employee growth
  • Strong analytical skills, with a systematic approach to problem definition and problem solving; ability to transfer long term strategies and plans into mid/short term actions. Proven track record of delivering large complex analyses
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills among all levels of the organization
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain business relationships
  • Advanced knowledge and experience with large integrated ERPs and financial systems is required. SAP and/or QAD experience a plus
  • Actively keeps abreast of developing best practices in master data management, purchasing, and related technologies
  • Action-oriented with a decisive style
  • Experience with Microsoft Office tools
  • Strong knowledge of and practical experience with internal controls
  • Experience with internal and third party disbursement workflow solutions required
  • Experience in working with and co-leading outsourced service provider, in coaching offshore team members and managing across company, geography, time zone and culture is a plus
  • Expertise in virtual leadership and communication virtually with team and customers
