We have a direct-hire opportunity for an experienced Tooling Engineer. Salary: $75,000-$80,000

Hours: 8 AM - 5 PM, Monday-Friday

Essential Functions:

• Develop expertise in designing tools for Pilger machines and maintaining necessary inventories to ensure on-time deliveries.
• Evaluate tools for continuous improvement opportunities.
• Develop inspection criteria for approving and ensuring tools meet required specification standards.
• Updating and organizing drawings to improve efficiency in locating the proper drawings. Making needed changes to drawings required by converting paper drawings to electronic documents; scanned images, 2D CAD, and 3D models.
• Maintaining tooling systems for spare parts management, tooling design and inventory, preventive and corrective procedures, and Standard Operating Procedures.
• Improve tooling design using advanced software, Solid Works 3D modeling, finite element analysis, failure analysis, and CNC capability.
• Assist with special projects related to tooling data analysis, machine component design, reverse engineering, and project engineering.
• Cold pilger mill maintenance (Knowledgeable regarding fabrication and machining equipment and techniques).

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited institution.
• 1-3 years of experience at an industrial facility (Supervisory experience, Inventory management, and Procurement experience preferred)
• Knowledge of engineering and drafting.
• Enhanced math and computer skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and CAD. (Experience using SolidWorks and/or AutoCAD is preferred)
