We are seeking a Software Engineer to join the Recover for ServiceNow R&D team. Own continues to invest in the 2 year old product, with greenfield opportunities to explore and implement solutions to develop the platform to its full potential. The right candidate will combine engineering ingenuity with software development expertise in elevating the product to the next big thing for Own's business. Your Day-to-Day Role- Participating in daily scrum meetings
- Writing your code with the highest coding standard
- Participating in design reviews
- Learning new technologies
- Responsible for leading epics from concept to delivery - working with product managers and R&D
- Performing code reviews and ensuring quality
- Secure-coding/infosec principles
- 5+ years experience with a Bachelor's degree (or 3+ years with a Master's degree) as a software developer, using languages such as Python or Java.
- Python experience is a strong advantage.
- Proven experience in developing features in high-scale applications.
- Experience with React / Rails is a plus.
- BSc in Computer-science or equivalent degree.
- Being a team player.
- English proficiency at a high level.
This is a full-time position. The ideal candidate will work out of our Englewood Cliffs, NJ office a minimum of 3 days per week to maximize collaboration and interaction with the business. Travel may be required.
