About the role

The Community Manager leads the community teams within a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Community Managers are responsible for all aspects of the community's operational and financial performance. From strategic planning and marketing to employee coaching and customer service, you'll draw from a wide variety of skills to achieve your goals. Position responsibilities include providing world-class customer service to our residents, managing, and supporting a dynamic property team focused on representing our brand in the most professional and positive way and ensuring the financial performance of the community.



What you'll be doing

  • Provides management oversight for all functions including daily operations, maintenance, financial reporting, training and development of employees, and resident relations for site team.
  • Living and promoting Balfour Beatty's We Care values across all operations.
  • Managing the financial performance, including both revenue and expenses, of the community in line with the established budget and investment strategy.
  • Responsible for achieving budgeted occupancy and implementing marketing strategy. Assists with the monitoring of leasing functions, monitoring the day-to-day leasing and follow up activities in Yardi.
  • Ensures that web sites and collateral materials are accurate and updated.
  • Delivering the highest level of resident satisfaction through responsive, consistent, positive, and professional interactions.
  • Recruiting new team members, on boarding and training new employees.
  • Supervising, coaching, and developing members of the community team.

Typical Physical Demands: Regularly use hands to manipulate tools, controls, phones, and computer keyboard. Frequently stand, reach with hands and arms, climb, balance, and stoop. Sit and stand to do clerical work. Regularly lift and move office supplies up to 20 lbs.

Work is performed in an office. Employee frequently interacts directly with community management, facilities management, residents, and other staff members during the workday.

Who we're looking for

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Bachelor's Degree is preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in residential or multifamily property management
  • Property Management or Hospitality experience is preferred
  • Customer oriented
  • Solid communication skills, positive attitude, and detailed orientated.
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Good organizational and time management skill
  • Solid computer skills- Microsoft Office Experience- Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams. Yardi and Yieldstar experience preferred.
  • Candidates should be willing to obtain either the Accredited Residential Manager (Institute of Real Estate Management) or Certified Apartment Manager (Building Owners and Manage Association) professional designation within one (1) year of hire
  • Possession of a valid state issues driver's license and safe driving record are required
