SUMMARY

Provides compensation system administrator and project management support for the management, configuration, testing, analysis, implementation, maintenance and data integrity of the company's compensation systems and processes as it relates to compensation programs and initiatives. Responsible for the general support of the company's compensation programs and the documentation and evaluation of jobs, capturing critical information needed for FLSA classification, job mapping, and associated analyses. Ensures requests for job title, pay and classification changes comply with applicable regulations and current compensation policy. Partners closely with business leaders and cross-functional HR partners to facilitate compensation solutions.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

* Performs system administrator responsibilities for the Compensation Team within the HCM compensation module, job description management software, and compensation benchmarking tools; including automating processes, importing data, configuration and set up, developing robust use cases, conducting thorough testing, and developing clear user documentation.

* Provides end to end project planning and project management support with various compensation applications; recommends and documents process improvements, audits data, performs testing of system configuration and data import files to ensure data integrity and accuracy.

* Identifies solutions to optimize how the Compensation Team leverages available systems; implementing workflows and reducing manual tracking of data.

* Executes system set up and testing for all Compensation systems and partners with Compensation, HRIS and cross-functional teams as needed to complete deliverables.

* Partners with HRIS on full development lifecycle of system workflows and forms; responsible for gathering requirements, documenting processes, identifying and drafting workflow steps, configuring, testing, recommending solutions for issues, training and deployment.

* Acts as compensation data subject matter expert; prepares reports on compensation metrics, performs data analyses, ensures data integrity, performs data audits; recommends processes to correct and minimize future data errors and improve utilization of existing systems and technology.

* Provides systems administrator support for the annual merit, annual incentive, and officer nomination cycles, ensuring full and accurate systems set up for a complex and matrixed organization.

* Works on a variety of compensation projects involving analysis, job mapping, project planning, testing, and deployment.

* Performs regular research and audits of incentive plan eligibility for new hires and job changes, tracks findings, recommends solutions, and ensures compensation system accurately reflects incentive targets and employee eligibility.

* Works with managers to develop and update job descriptions, ensuring job content is appropriately captured, including evaluations of job responsibilities to determine appropriate FLSA classification.

* Performs compensation analyses, market pricing, and audits internal pay and job data to ensure compliance with state and federal laws.

* Reviews job and pay change requests, identify potential discrepancies, seeks clarification, processes approved changes, and prepares corresponding promotion or employment change notifications.

* Reviews and audits compensation reports, ensuring future compensation commitments are documented and processed in a timely manner.

* Develops, maintains and audits job titles, job codes, and other job related attributes in the HRIS.

* Maintains job family and career path information by Operations group.

* Maintains knowledge of compensation compliance developments, such as pay fairness, state minimum wage increases, and FLSA exemption regulations.

* Perform all duties in accordance with all company policies and procedures, and all federal, state and local laws, wherein the Company operates.

* Performs other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

Four (4) or more years, overall experience handling large data sets with responsibility for calculations and analysis within a mid to large organization

Two (2) or more years, experience with systems administration, configuration, testing and implementation

Two (2) or more years, experience working with an enterprise resource planning system to execute critical processes and projects

One (1) or more years, experience administering compensation, benefits, or commission plans

One (1) or more years, experience working with leaders to prepare job descriptions

Certified Compensation Professional (CCP), or completion of some CCP course work

SKILLS

Knowledge of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA)

Knowledge of federal, state and local laws relating to Compensation and HR practices

Knowledge of salary planning tools and methods, job evaluation techniques, and market salary trends

Proficient in working efficiently with large data sets and complex processes

Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.; with advanced skills in Excel

Skill in analyzing and organizing technical data

Skill in writing and editing job descriptions

Strong time-management, problem-solving, and organizational skills

Skill in completing assignments accurately and with attention to detail

Ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with frequent interruptions, distractions, and a fluctuating workload
