We are seeking an Operations Coordinator in Torrance, CA

Schedule will be Monday - Friday 8 AM - 5 PM. Possible Weekends

Duties:

  • Manage and coordinate transportation operations, including routing, scheduling, and tracking of shipments
  • Utilize phone systems and other communication tools to effectively communicate with carriers, drivers, and internal teams
  • Utilize transportation management systems such as Oracle Transportation Management and AS400 to track and manage shipments
  • Coordinate shipping and receiving activities, ensuring accurate documentation and timely processing of orders
  • Perform data entry tasks to update and maintain transportation records and reports
  • Collaborate with third-party logistics providers (3PL) to optimize transportation operations
  • Assist in inventory management activities, including cycle counting and reconciling discrepancies
  • Support the operations team with various administrative tasks as needed

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in logistics or supply chain management is a plus
  • Proven experience in transportation management or related field
  • Proficiency in using transportation management systems such as Oracle Transportation Management and AS400
  • Strong knowledge of fleet management principles and practices
  • Familiarity with shipping and receiving processes and documentation
  • Excellent data entry skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to effectively communicate with internal teams, carriers, drivers, and third-party logistics providers
  • Proficiency in using computer software programs such as Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Experience with SyteLine ERP system is a plus

Pay Range:

$19-22 per hour

*The above-stated pay range is the anticipated starting salary range for the position. The Company may adjust this range in light of prevailing market conditions and other factors such as location. The Company will work directly with the selected candidate(s) on the final starting salary in accordance with all applicable laws
