Reporting to the South Hackensack EHS manager, we are looking for a knowledgeable Environmental, Health & Safety (EH&S) Specialist with a background in Environmental to join our South Hackensack, NJ manufacturing facility. As our EH&S Specialist, you will develop EH&S programs following all regulatory compliance requirements in our North American Flavors Sites.

Main Responsibilities:
* Promote Excellence: Provide program implementation assistance with setting and accomplishing safety standards. Coordinate and maintain environmental regulatory permits and programs including inspections and submittals for air, water and waste. Help build sustainability projects (tracking and reporting), and with EH&S training. Manage risk and promote culture change to reduce the probability of EH&S incidents.
* Manage Data Integrity: Coordinate data management requirements for environmental reporting, annual EH&S reports, performance measurements, regulatory compliance assessment and audit program follow-up. Maintain and coordinate Process Safety Management (PSM) policies.
* Mentor and Collaborate: Support all Site EH&S training for our employees and contractors. Deploy behavior-based safety programs. Promote safety awareness and improve the safety of the site by guiding issues identified to closure. EH&S expert for the site and member of the Emergency Response Team. Coordinate risk assessments and provide solutions to minimize risks.
* Carrying out incident investigations and proposing corrective actions to be implemented.
* Helping on risk assessment and providing solutions to minimize risks.
* Conducting EHS Orientation training to new employees and contractors
* Facilitating tool box meeting and delivering other EHS training
* Helping on the development of EHS procedures and tracking their implementation
* Organizing regular site safety inspection with department/area owners; report findings and follow up their correction & prevention
* Following up all audits findings; and evaluate the effectiveness of their corrective & preventive actions
* Helping on organizing site EHS committee meetings and following up all actions agreed in the committee meeting

Your professional profile includes:
* Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Life/Physical Science, Environmental Engineering, Safety, or Industrial Hygiene, Chemistry, EHS or other related field is required.
* 2+ year experience developing EHS programs and working in a manufacturing, chemical or consumer products manufacturing environment.
* Knowledge of NJDEP regulations and environmental permitting/reporting
* Familiarity with EHS codes, regulations, laws, and agreement standards required
* Knowledge of MS Office applications, Access, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Excel (can maintain complex spreadsheets)
