The anticipated salary range for this role is between $190,000.00and $223,000.00. The specific salary offered to an applicant will be based on their individual qualifications, experiences, and an analysis of the current compensation paid in their geography and the market for similar roles at the time of hire. The role may also be eligible for an annual discretionary incentive award. In addition to cash compensation, SMBC offers a competitive portfolio of benefits to its employees.

Role Description

As the Platform Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and directing our Windows-based infrastructure while leading and mentoring a team of engineers. You will be responsible for ensuring the stability, security, and optimal performance of our Windows systems. We are looking for a Microsoft Windows generalist who has experience in the implementation and support of Windows OS, Active Directory, O365 and Azure platforms. This person will provide input into ongoing design and engineering work, picking up and running with final stage engineering and operationalization of systems as needed.

Role Objectives

* Windows Infrastructure: Develop and execute the company's Windows infrastructure strategy, aligning it with business objectives and growth plans.
* Team Leadership: Manage and lead a team of Windows engineers, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance evaluations.
* Windows Architecture: Collaborate with your Architecture team to Design and maintain the overall architecture of our Windows systems, ensuring scalability, security, and high availability.
* Security and Compliance: Implement and enforce security policies, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
* Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, development, and operations, to drive Windows-based projects and initiatives.
* Budget Management: Develop and manage the department's budget for Windows infrastructure, ensuring cost-effective solutions.
* Problem Resolution: Act as a technical escalation point for complex Windows-related issues, providing guidance and solutions for problem resolution.

Qualifications and Skills

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
* Strong leadership and team management skills.
* Minimum of 10+ years of experience in Windows engineering with a proven track record of progressively increasing responsibilities.
* Expert knowledge of Windows infrastructure design, implementation, and maintenance.
* Proficiency in Windows security practices and compliance requirements.
* Relevant certifications, such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator or Azure Solutions Architect, are a plus.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Budget management and vendor relationship experience.
