Job Description

As a Customer Advocate at Corcentric, you will join a fun, collaborative team within an ambitious, entrepreneurial global organization. You will be responsible for customer service and support as well as support for the Outside Sales Director and Regional Vice President (RVP).

As a Customer Advocate, you will:

  • Work with new and existing customers to retain, generate, grow, and enhance business through communicating both existing and new vendor programs, as well as offering promotions.
  • Contact customers and prospects by phone, e-mail, and WebEx on an ongoing basis to generate additional sales and cross-sell product lines. (Outbound call volume expectations are about 30+ calls a day.)
  • Process new customer program enrollments, interacting with customers, suppliers, and colleagues.
  • Train customers on e-commerce functionality, including our billing portal and Buyer's Guide.
  • Prospect for new business and communicate opportunities with Outside Sales to develop prospects into new business
  • Provide administrative support to the Sales Director and Regional Vice President (RVP), including generating appointments and following up with customer prospects.
  • Remain knowledgeable of market and industry trends, competitors, and leading customer strategies.
  • Be responsible for planning, reporting, and tracking sales and customer support activity on the customer relationship management software (CRM) and other management tools.

You'll need to have:

  • Several years' experience in a relevant customer service or sales role
  • Experience with outbound sales, planning and account objectives
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong computer literacy, with the ability to quickly learn, adopt, and utilize new software programs
  • Familiarity with e-commerce and relevant functionalities
  • Superb customer service skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish productive business relationships
  • Strong listening, written and verbal communication skills
  • A self-starter mindset, willingness to take initiative and leverage business acumen

Our roles require routine use of standard office equipment, such as computers, keyboards, printers, phones, and filing cabinets. You may need to type, reach, and lift office materials of a reasonable weight. Travel may also be required based on job responsibilities and business needs.
