Position Summary:

The Global Engineering Process Engineering Leader is responsible for the facility and equipment design for manufacturing sites across the Zoetis network.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Support manufacturing sites with process engineering and facility designs for strategic projects including development of User Requirements, technology evaluations, equipment selection, cGMP considerations and regulatory compliance.
  • Evaluating user requests with business need.
  • Support Global Network Strategy (GNS) with capacity analysis, options analysis and technology analysis.
  • Supplement and support project teams to advance engineering designs for manufacturing equipment and facilities including:
    • Bioprocessing equipment such as bioreactors, fermenters, purification equipment, concentration equipment
    • Solid oral dose equipment such as granulation, tablet compression
    • Aseptic filling lines and lyophilizers
    • API equipment such as reactors, crystallizers
    • Packaging lines
    • Clean utilities (purified water, water for injection, clean steam)
  • Support manufacturing sites with capacity modelling and equipment sizing.
  • Support manufacturing sites with technical equipment analysis and trouble shooting.
  • Support manufacturing sites with laboratory designs.
  • Provide technical expertise to evaluate equipment tenders and support equipment selection.
  • Work with Global Manufacturing Technology (GMT) to help evaluate technologies for new products and production processes.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in chemical engineering or related degree.
  • At least 5 years' experience in delivering pharmaceutical process equipment projects associated with large scale biologics and sterile manufacturing facilities.

Technical Skills and Competence Required:

  • Extensive experience managing all project stages from user requirement specification (URS) development, design specification review, materials management optimization, layout reviews, vendor technical reviews, factory inspection, factory acceptance testing (FAT), site acceptance testing (SAT), qualification and final handover to end-user.
  • Experience in equipment procurement and supplier relationship management.
  • Teamwork, collaboration, and the ability to build effective partnerships with both business and technical stakeholders at all levels of an organisation.
  • Highly organized and able to prioritize tasks and complete multiple simultaneous projects on a deadline.
  • Highly analytical with strong attention to detail.
  • Decision maker and great communicator who can present complex information in a simplified manner.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience in regulatory requirements for equipment and clean utlitities for US FDA, USDA, EMA, Australia, Latin America, China, Brazil, and Canada.

Physical Position Requirements

  • This position is based in Parsippany, NJ (US). Other US locations will be considered.
  • Hybrid work option will be considered.
  • Ability to travel up to 30% of working time.
