Job Description
This position is responsible for pick-up and delivery functions for the Auction, including coordinating efficient movement of consigned vehicles to and from the facility, while providing high quality service to Auction customers.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Represent the Auction in a professional and courteous manner by ensuring that all transportation callers are greeted professionally and efficiently.
  • Coordinate and direct the safe and efficient transportation of customers and customer vehicles to and from the Auction and other designated areas.
  • Arrange for pick-up and delivery of vehicles within the standard timeframes prescribed by our accounts.
  • Receive and route telephone and radio calls in a courteous and efficient manner to the appropriate department personnel.
  • Work closely with lot operations team and van drivers to coordinate drivers for local pickup & delivery.
  • Perform data entry and verify that transportation information is accurately recorded in the system.
  • Perform various clerical and administrative duties relating to transportation pickups and deliveries.
  • Determine outstanding pick-ups, compile data, and generate transporter and account aging reports for the department manager.
  • Coordinate department activities with customer account representatives and transporters.
  • Assist with pick-up problems, including contacting the appropriate Auction personnel to resolve concerns promptly.
  • Visibly demonstrate safety commitment by following all safety and health procedures and modeling the behaviors related to such. Actively participate in support of all safety activities aligned with Safety Excellence.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by manager.


Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED and 3 years' experience in a related field.
  • OR the right candidate could also have a different combination, such as any level degree/certification beyond a HS diploma/GED in a related discipline and up to 1 year of experience.
  • OR 5 years' experience in a related field.
  • Safe drivers needed; valid driver's license required.
  • Mechanical ability required.
  • Ability to drive manual and automatic vehicles required.
  • Ability to jump start vehicles required.
  • Excellent communication and organization skills required.
  • Competent computer software skills required, including Excel and database systems.
  • Ability to use general office equipment (e.g., copier, fax machine, etc.).
  • Ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods of time.
  • Manual dexterity; ability to perform repetitive data entry tasks.
  • Vision abilities required include close, distance, and depth perception.
  • Auction experience and knowledge of overall Auction functions preferred.


USD 19.13 - 28.65 per hour

Compensation:

Hourly base pay rate is $19.13 - $28.65/hour. The hourly base rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include commission (annual, monthly, etc.) and/or an incentive program.

Benefits:

Employees are eligible to receive a minimum of sixteen hours of paid time off every month and seven paid holidays throughout the calendar year. Employees are also eligible for additional paid time off in the form of bereavement leave, time off to vote, jury duty leave, volunteer time off, military leave, parental leave, and COVID-19 vaccination leave.
