What We DoResearches technologies, makes recommendations, and provides guidance as it relates to IT infrastructure. This level is seen as the
subject matter expert, is involved in researching best practices in the industry and bringing them and incorporating them into FAC's systems
and processes. This role will provide ongoing input and influence into the technical direction of the company.

What You'll Do:

  • Research emerging hardware and software technologies as it relates to IT infrastructure.
  • Participate in proof of concept evaluations that assist with defining technology direction and enabling business strategy.
  • Recommend alternative technologies and solutions based on business requirements.
  • Participate in the design and implementation of IT infrastructure that will become the standard for the enterprise.
  • Provide technical guidance to Infrastructure and Application Development teams.
  • Principal contributor in the definition and creation of infrastructure standards, processes and policies.
  • Participate in company acquisitions where required. Responsible for assessing a target company's hardware/software infrastructure
  • environment and subsequently recommending integration alternatives.
  • Required to perform duties outside of normal work hours based on business needs.

What You'll Bring:

  • Excellent understanding of x86 server technology.
  • Solid understanding of Storage Area Networks including SAN related protocols.
  • Thorough knowledge of Windows, Domains, Active Directory and related Microsoft software technologies.
  • Good understanding of UNIX and Linux operating systems also desirable.
  • Solid understanding of TCP/IP and other network related protocols.
  • Working experience with Azure or AWS cloud environments highly desirable.
  • Ability to convey technical and conceptual ideas/topics to non-technical personnel.
  • Strong organizational, project management and presentation skills.
  • Ability to design systems with Infrastructure, Network and Application Development teams in building complex enterprise level infrastructure and application solutions.
  • Normally requires BS Degree or equivalent work experience. Masters degrees preferred
  • Typically have 7+ years of directly related experience.

Pay Range: $86,200 - $191,800 annually

This hiring range is a reasonable estimate of the base pay range for this position at the time of posting. Pay is based on a number of factors which may include job-related knowledge, skills, experience, business requirements and geographic location.
