Summary:

Fosters relationships with medical providers in multiple therapeutic areas in order to build a research culture within the Virtua system.

Spearheads the development of a system of metrics to maximize quality, financial and regulatory compliance, and standardization across sites.

Adheres to organizational policies and procedures as well as Federal and State regulatory guidelines in all areas of operational management.

Position Responsibilities:

* Oversees the operations of the clinical research studies performed by Virtua research investigators, including staffing, study recruitment, finances, and regulatory submissions.

* Provides leadership to all involved in the research program in order to by developing policies and procedures for research and facilitating the sharing of best practices across all sites.

* In partnership with the Director, works to increase the number of qualified research sites at Virtua through physician outreach and onboarding policies, and works to source and place clinical trials within the Virtua system.

* Collaborates with the Director to develop training programs for core research requirements and continuing education for investigators and clinical research coordinators, allowing site staff to stay current on regulatory requirements and research trends.

Position Qualifications Required / Experience Required:

Minimum of 5 years of research experience.

Extensive understanding of research operations, and some supervisory experience.

Required Education:

Minimum of a Bachelor's degree.

Training/Certifications/Licensure:

Certification in area of expertise preferred
