Responsibilities

The Regional Director of Education provides leadership of activities supporting clinical practices, professional development, patient care and clinical initiative outcomes for the New Jersey acute-care facilities. Leads change efforts in areas of benchmarking, patient safety and clinical best practices to support achievement of high quality nursing care and patient outcomes. Provides oversight of Pathway to Excellence/Magnet designation according to the American Nurses Credentialing Center requirements. Oversees and assures compliance as a designated State Board of Nursing continuing nursing education provider.

Qualifications

Education and Work Experience

    Current and valid state license as a Registered Nurse.
  1. Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
  2. Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)-(AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
  3. Minimum of 5 years as a Healthcare Leader.
  4. Minimum of 2 years of previous educational experience preferred.
  5. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required, Masters of Science in Nursing preferred.
