Job Summary

Here's a unique opportunity to help drive Selective's Creative Services strategy and help our customers and agents understand what it means to Be Uniquely Insured. Reporting directly to the Senior Marketing Manager, you'll harness your visual design and brand expertise to create marketing solutions that deliver business impact. Partnering with outside vendors, you will support the organization's creative resource needs at scale, engaging our customers, agents, and prospects. The Creative Services Manager will evolve the Selective brand to remain current with industry trends while maintaining brand guidelines and steering organization-wide compliance. Connecting across the organization, you will effectively communicate the brand vision and goals while leveraging Selective's brand voice to help create and review content, including executive summaries.

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage and support the evolution of Selective's visual brand, including maintaining visual brand guidelines to be leveraged internally and with external partners.
  • Utilize own design capabilities to deliver timely, high-quality output for key business partners.
  • Work with external partners in the creation, design, and layout of marketing materials for use in a variety of digital and print mediums requiring a creative graphic treatment and delivery of Selective's brand.
  • Manage graphic media from content creation to implementation in support of Selective's brand.
  • Evaluate the graphic media landscape for innovative/new design standards and techniques to determine the viability for the Selective brand.
  • Identify and partner with external partners in delivery of marketing assets including electronic material, presentations, digital communications, video, and more.
  • Work to ensure area is seen as a true business partner with other business areas throughout the company.
  • Leverage Selective's brand voice, develop and edit marketing content in collaboration with the content team.
  • Compose executive summaries and updates of Marketing, Experience, Innovation and Strategy initiatives to be shared with leaderships teams and, where appropriate, the broader organization.
  • Manage external design vendors and platforms, ensure efficient utilization of budget, advance our design capabilities, and deliver quality output.

Job Qualifications & Education

  • Bachelors Degree in Business, Design or related field preferred
  • 6+ years working in a design or creative services role on either the agency or corporate side.
  • Insurance industry experience a plus.
  • Expert knowledge of design theory and execution.
  • Must be able to manage outsourced firms, vendors, and other high-value providers in a seamless way that best supports Selective's business unit success.
  • Proven understanding of graphic design software including the Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Works well in a team environment while identifying where and when collaboration is best suited.
  • Ability to balance multiple different projects for different client groups and ensure timely delivery aligned with service levels.
  • Stay abreast of industry/design trends specific to design technology and execution.

The expected starting salary range for this role is$116,000 - $167,000. The actual base salary is based on geographic location, and the range is representative of salaries for this role throughout Selective's footprint. Additional considerations include relevant education, qualifications, experience, skills, performance, and business needs.
