We are seeking to fill multiple Product Owner roles across our Product Management and Platforms groups within BNY Mellon Pershing. This role is in Jersey City, NJ, Pittsburgh or Lake Mary Florida.

This will be a hybrid position (3 days in the office)

In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways:

Own the vision, execution, measurement and outcomes for a product or functional area

Own the backlog of requirements to ensure that client and business needs are accurately reflected in the product development process

Elicits, challenges, and prioritizes requirements using standard processes and templates, and translates into functional design and use case documents.

Participates in the backlog grooming and prioritization and sprint planning

Drive delivery of the backlog and outcomes with detailed understanding and close management of the backlog

Own the roadmap and investment plan, with associated underlying metrics that support delivery

Own Agile Ceremony Ownership across POD, which includes tracking velocity and identifying efficiencies for teams

To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following:

Able to write specs for minor features and contribute meaningfully to specs for major features

Able to negotiate the implementation of current work, make the right trade-off decisions to launch product in a high-quality manner. Know when to escalate to manager. Work with team to make recommendations that deliver maximum value to the end users as quickly as possible.

Can efficiently assess the quality and readiness of a release

Formulate the right business questions to be asked and how to track down data to inform decisions

Can use low fidelity tools to outline a design approach and then work with your team to translate into higher fidelity representation of the feature

Client orientation: ability to engage, build trusting relationships and set/manage expectations.

Qualifications & Requirements:

You have:

Bachelor's degree and 7+ years of total work experience with at least 3 years of project development experience

Proven track record of delivering data driven solutions with a customer-first mindset

Product Owner experience, preferably in the financial services industry

Experience successfully leading complex projects to positive outcomes

Ability to engage and influence diverse teams with their own priorities

Commercial orientation and business acumen to assess new opportunities and drive profitability

Preferred: CSPO (Certified Scrum Product Owner), SAFe Product Owner / Product Manager

The base salary for this position is expected to be between $79,000 and $113,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNYM total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs.
This position is at-will and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, change in geographic location, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
