POSITION PURPOSE: A Facilities Maintenance (Porter) is responsible for the cleanliness and comfort for the clientele environment.

PRIMARY DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Responsible for managing the building's cleanliness and orderliness, together with the cleaning maintenance team.
  2. Perform general maintenance, custodial and trash and recycling removal tasks.
  3. Oversee supplies in restrooms, coffee stations and water stations.
  4. Applies Health & Safety standards in carrying out all work assignments, using appropriate safety devices and equipment as needed.
  5. Required to work both scheduled and unscheduled overtime to support facility activities.
  6. Other duties as assigned.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS / WORK ENVIRONMENT

The job can be physically demanding, involving movement of heavy equipment and carrying materials up and down stairs. Candidates should be able to lift and maneuver a 50-lb load. This job requires extensive walking.

Qualifications

Education / Experience / Background

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Must have experience with sound safety practices using power equipment related to job assignments.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

  • Must have experience with sound safety practices using power equipment related to job assignments.
  • Able to work additional shift assignments to support facility operations as needed.
  • Ability to hear and understand audible alarms, detect changes in noise levels of facility equipment.
  • Ability to lift heavy equipment and carry materials up and down stairs with the capacity of lifting50 pounds.
