Job Description

St. Paul Fuel, LLC is a growing company focused on becoming the most respected fuel sales and services company in Alaska. St. Paul Fuel, LLC is looking for motivated persons who want to be part of building a cohesive team to provide comprehensive fuel services to the Community of St. Paul Island and customers in the Central Bering Sea.


This position is located on St. Paul Island. This will not be a rotational position because the point of hire will be St. Paul, AK. The average work week will be 10 hours days/ 6 days a week Sunday - Friday.


JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for the maintenance of the Airport grounds, DOT building, and runway. This individual will establish mutually beneficial relationships with employees and clients and will work to increase the profitability for the company.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Perform routine inspection of the runaway and terminal throughout shift.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and maintenance of the areas in and around the company's facilities to include; terminal, pilot's quarters, hangar floors, shop and maintenance areas, as well as residential and commercial properties owned and leased by the airport.
  • De-ice aircraft in accordance to specified standards
  • Repair, maintenance, and care of multiple vehicles.
  • Operate hand and power tools to perform maintenance/repair of facilities.
  • Operate mowers, snowplow, front-end loader, forklift, and dump truck.
  • Reports unsafe conditions and initiates corrective actions to mitigate hazards.
  • Perform all duties in conformance to appropriate safety and security standards.
  • Must be able to work independently or in a team setting with multiple people.
  • Perform all other related duties as assigned.


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Five (5) years' experience in all relevant fields of responsibility.
  • Requires valid driver's license and ability to pass a criminal background check.
  • Prior work on an airport with ability to recognize airfield deficiencies desirable.
  • Basic computer skills needed.
  • Requires the ability to gain expertise in the requirements applicable to airport operation.
  • Requires technical skills in, troubleshooting, repair, maintenance, and care of multiple vehicles.
  • Communicate effectively on the radio.
  • Must be able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Position requires walking, bending, stooping, and lifting to 50 pounds.
  • Must be available weekends and nights for emergency calls.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Valid driver's license. Valid CDL preferred. If CDL is obtained within 8 months from the date of hire the Company will reimburse for that expense so long as employee provides appropriate receipts. CDL is needed for continued employment with St. Paul Fuel, LLC.
