Wound Care Nurses are responsible for the following:

• Performs patient procedures within the scope of the nursing practice.

• Performs safe medication administration and assesses patient response to medications.

• Demonstrates nursing management of patients with pain.

The Wound Care Nurse is a registered nurse who has in-depth knowledge of wound care and the care of ostomy patients and applies this knowledge in order to provide appropriate and effective patient care. Qualifications for this position include:

• Bachelorrsquo;s Degree in Nursing

• Two (2) years experience in medical-surgical nursing

• Completion of an enterostomal therapy program

• CPR certification
