About This Role:

Kansas State University's Aerospace and Technology Campus in Salina seeks an instructor in Aviation Maintenance to join the Department of Aviation. This full-time instructor position is focused on teaching credit and non-credit training courses for aviation maintenance professionals.

What You'll Need to Succeed:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must hold a current FAA Mechanic Certificate with both Airframe and Powerplant ratings for at least the three (3) year period immediately preceding the appointment.
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Be authorized to work in the U.S.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrate knowledge in maintenance fundamentals, aviation materials, electrical systems, engine theory and applications, aircraft metallic structures, systems and components, and other related topics.
  • Demonstrate familiarity with FAA regulations, particularly those associated with 14 CFR Part 147.
  • Three or more years A&P work experience, including various operations such as Part 91, 135, and/or 145.
  • Three or more years of teaching experience.
  • Excellent communication, computer, and interpersonal skills.

Other Requirements:
