Job Description

Role and Responsibilities

  • CAE is seeking an Instructor Qualifications Analyst to support our Business Aviation team based in New Jersey. This role is crucial to the success of our organization and will make an impact through the following responsibilities.

Essentials Duties & Responsibilities

  • Check Airman Qualification and observation process ownership: own, improve, and insure that all Training Center Evaluator (TCE) observations are scheduled, coordinated with National Aviation Authority (NAA), Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) inspector, customers, clients, and other foreign authorities.
  • Proactively partner with sales department managers, client account owners, fleet managers, fleet planners and Operations Training Managers to ensure full visibility, and mitigating of risks to the business for Letter of Authority (LOA) observations at all Americas business locations.
  • Confirm all Letter of Authority (LOA) events schedules with customers, individual clients, Training Managers, Part - 135 Regulatory Administrators, Principle Operating Inspector (POI), Inspectors, and Fleet Training Program Manager (FTPM) for all National Aviation Authorities.
  • Directly liaise between Regulatory department and Training Services department for seamless visibility on Letter of Authority (LOA) observation events statuses to insure the proper National Aviation Authority (NAA) is scheduled and notified for the client's event to be observed by the Training Center Evaluator (TCE). Proactively action all changes to schedules with all parties.
  • Manage and ownership of reporting for Key Performance Indicators (KPI) for all BAT Letter of Authority (LOA) observations - reporting these metrics to the Americas Operations Business Leader, Local Head of Training, and Training Mangers.
  • Track receipt of Letter of Authority (LOA) completions and their accuracy.
  • Track cancellations and reasons for National Aviation Authority (NAA) and/or customer cancellations for process improvement.

Knowledge and Skills Requirement

  • Educational background: Associate's degree or college degree or equivalent experience.
  • Job-related experience: 2 to 5 years.

  • Ability to meet business goals while insuring regulatory compliance is a requirement.
  • Ability to follow established regulations, company policies and other guidance is mandatory.

Working Conditions

  • High energy office environment requiring collaboration across departments and working with demanding professional flight crews.
  • Requires frequent meetings with clients, instructors, and Training
  • Requires frequent meetings with external and internal clients for operations resolution.

Sensory Efforts

  • Intensive mental focus upon a highly regulated environment of National Aviation Authority regulations.
  • The ability and skill to remain 100% compliant is essential.
  • Ability to consistently comprehend complex regulations and apply the meaning in every situation.

Physical Effort

  • The work of an Instructor Qualification Analyst is performed indoors in a temperature controlled environment.
  • The worker is required to maintain active pilot certifications/qualifications for instructors.
  • Tools and equipment used include, but are not limited to the following: desk top and laptop computers, telephones, copy machines and other business machines. Long periods of sitting while working and attending daily, weekly, and monthly meetings to discuss status of work stream.
  • Occasional (1 - 2 hours standing presenting presentations for reporting).
  • Regular, dependable attendance is an essential function of this position.
  • Required to be available to work during business hours for 8 hours daily, and up to 12 hours as required
