Job Description

Juniper Networks provides strategic solution development, integration and deployment services to our customers through the Professional Services (PS) organization. A Resident Engineer/Consultant position is an on-site customer facing technical role, providing primarily post-sales delivery, and will deliver and own the success of all technical aspects of the customer deliverables. This role will have the technical and project experience to interface directly with sales and the customer to define the challenges from the customer's perspective and will have the ability to design / validate complex network solutions involving multiple technical disciplinary.

Requirements:

  • Full-time position onsite with a customer in the Columbia, MD area.
  • Security Clearance: TS/SCI with Polygraph
  • Highly technical role providing post-sales Engineering Design/Architecture, Operational, and Support of Juniper products within a customer infrastructure.
  • Ideal candidate will have 5+ years Network Engineering Design/Architecture, Operational, and Support experience in Service Provider, Enterprise, and Data Center network environments.
  • The candidate must have a detailed understanding of protocols used for IP networks and proven technical expertise in the configuration, troubleshooting and operation of IP based routers, switches, and security devices.
  • Juniper products to be supported: MX, EX, QFX, and SRX.

Qualifications

  • Solid understanding of routing and switching protocols associated with IP networks: OSPF, IS-IS, BGP, MPLS, L3VPN, L2VPN, VXLAN, EVPN, multicast, Class of Service (CoS), Filter-Based Forwarding (policy based routing).
  • Experience with SRX Firewall products/software, SRX High Availability (Clustering), IPSec VPN, and some understanding and experience with Security Management Platform (i.e., Junos Space/Security Director.)
  • Experience with L2 switching environments.
  • Experience with Data Center EVPN VXLAN environments is a plus.
  • Certifications such as JNCIS, JNCIP, JNCIE, CCNP, CCIE a plus.
  • Experience with Automation Frameworks, DevOps Concepts, Linux, Virtualization and Programming Languages (Python and Ansible) is a plus.

Minimum Salary: $110,154.00

Maximum Salary:$168,902.80

The pay range for this position is expected to be between $110,154.00 and $168,902.80/year; however, the base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position also includes medical benefits, 401(k) eligibility, vacation, sick time, and parental leave. Additional details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.

If hired, employee will be in an "at-will position" and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

Juniper's pay range data is provided in accordance with local state pay transparency regulations. Juniper may post different minimum wage ranges for permanent residency petitions pursuant to US Department of Labor requirements.
