Job/Internship Description

WHAT YOU'LL DO

The IT Service Desk Intern is responsible for handling inbound calls and service tickets related to supporting Busey Associates. In addition, this position assists with setting up and deploying hardware.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

Duties:

  • Respond to inbound calls and service tickets in an efficient, courteous, and knowledgeable manner.
  • Maintain documentation for received calls and job function responsibilities.
  • Resolve problems by gathering information, determining the customers' needs, and conducting research to find a correct solution.
  • Ensure all calls taken have been resolved and if not resolved, perform necessary escalations and associate follow-up.
  • Maintain an open line of communication regarding events, outstanding issues, and client follow-up.
  • Proactively determine ways to improve support/service and reduce the number of inbound calls.

Knowledge of:

  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong customer service skills

Ability to:

  • Maintain confidentiality of Bank and customer information
  • Take independent action within established options and develop new procedures and approaches to problems when necessary
  • Maintain visual attention and mental concentration for extended periods of time
  • Perform duties and make decisions with patience and tact under frequent time pressures

WHY IT MATTERS

The Service Desk Intern will be responsible for supporting the organization's technology needs. These may include password resets, hardware and network troubleshooting, onboarding of new associates and deploying hardware.

EDUCATION & TRAINING

Requires Intern to be a part of a Degree seeking program

Excellent customer service skills, with a genuine desire to help others.

Knowledge of Windows 10 and Office 365 required.

General knowledge of PC hardware
