About the role:

BSI EHS Services and Solutions is seeking a mid-level experienced environmental Consultant. The successful candidate will have a track record of providing service excellence and client satisfaction. The Consultant will be involved in a variety of projects, with a primary focus on environmental compliance with local, state and Federal requirements, including those associated with water, wastewater, solid waste, hazardous waste, chemical storage, and air emission. A strong understanding of applicability determination, planning, registration, permitting, monitoring, reporting, etc. is required.

Experience conducting property transaction Due Diligence, e.g. Phase Is, is desirable. The consultant's responsibilities will range from supporting identification of opportunities and proposal development through project execution. The ideal candidate would have experience working in the NY/NJ area in various industrial and commercial settings.

EHS Consultant Responsibilities:

• Support the NY/NJ client base, including consulting and compliance services
• Work collaboratively with peers, managers, and client in a dynamic environment
• Conduct various media samplings as needed in support of the on-going projects
• Willingness to learn new skills
• Achieve client expectations for scope, budget, schedule, and quality
• Support client relationships that generate repeat business
• Required areas of consulting experience include:
  • RCRA
  • EPCRA (Tier II/TRI)
  • Waste management

Desired with the following are preferred:

• Air
• Water (e.g. storm water and wastewater)
• CERCLA/Superfund
• Health and Safety regulations
• Management systems (e.g. ISO 14001 and 450001) gap assessment, program development, etc.

Education/Qualifications:

• BS/MS in environmental/civil/chemical engineering, sustainability, environmental studies or related science degree
• ISO Lead Auditor Certification (preferred)
• 5-7 years of environmental consulting/compliance experience
• Proven track record in successful project execution and client satisfaction
• Solid grasp of technical aspects and project management
