We are looking for a Channel Marketing Specialist in the Mid-Atlantic region to elevate how customers see, experience and engage with the world's #1 decking brand through the professional sales channel. As a Trex Channel Marketing Specialist, you will be looked to as an innovator and help us deliver what's next in outdoor living by growing brand visibility, awareness, and product pull-through with our dealer and installer networks. Specialists are responsible for activating and implementing best-in-class merchandising, increasing online visibility of Trex products through our channel partners, and implementing local and regional campaigns to drive brand awareness and revenue growth. This regional marketing position is situated within the Trex marketing department and offers valuable marketing experience for a leading national brand.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Establish a communication and collaboration cadence with current pro-channel accounts and sales representatives and manage day-to-day field marketing opportunities.
  • Be a strong team player with the ability to motivate and work closely with internal and external customers, as the role will interact with cross functional teams.
  • Have strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Build trust and follow through on commitments.

MERCHANDISING:

  • Ensure a consistent brand experience and maximize Trex product sell through by providing complete merchandising and support to ensure our channel partners' locations are customer ready.
  • Support product commercialization activations at the local level with new items or test programs, demonstrating knowledge and enthusiasm for Trex products.

DIGITAL & ECOMMERCE SUPPORT:

  • Prepare and distribute digital content and support customer website development, SEO, and e-commerce.
  • Conduct keyword research and customize content with the brand team to drive traffic and generate sales at the regional and local market level.
  • Gather and evaluate web analytics and metrics to be used for website optimizations.

LOCAL MARKETING CAMPAIGNS AND PROGRAMS:

  • Collect and analyze market data and research to determine market opportunities and develop regional and local campaign strategies.
  • Implement multi-channel marketing plans meant to promote the organization and its products at the regional and market level. Analyze campaign results to identify optimizations.
  • Support b-2-b promotions and programs to drive pull-through sales with key channel partners.
  • Draft trade communications to promote products, programs and increase engagement with our professional channel accounts.
  • Work with agency partners to customize marketing and advertising assets for channel partners.
  • Prepare and present monthly reports regarding the local landscape including competitive activities and pricing.

EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing or related field with at least five years' business experience with a proven track record of success preferred.
  • Working knowledge of marketing fundamentals, including consumer behaviors and key communication drivers.
  • Must have strong ability to achieve results independently, alongside and through collaboration with others.
  • Ability to work independently within your region while serving as a local extension of the marketing team.
  • Outstanding organizational skills with ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and responsibilities to meet deadlines in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.
  • Experience in executing strategic marketing plans to achieve specific business objectives and company goals.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and implementing dynamic new channel/market strategies.
  • Exceptional verbal, report, presentation, PowerPoint, and Excel abilities.
  • Must have the ability and willingness to travel 50 percent of the time or more, typically by car, with some overnight travel.
