Gannett Fleming is looking for entry level Junior Substation Engineers to join our dynamic and growing team to support utility and power substation efforts. This position will require time in our Marlton, NJ office.

The growth and diversification of the Power Business Line is a top initiative, on both a regional and national scale. Our projects involve the design of high voltage infrastructure to support the upgrading and expansion of the electrical grid, design of wind generation sites, Solar (photovoltaic generation) sites, and battery storage facilities.

The successful candidate will gain experience, under mentorship of senior engineers, on various substation projects from 69kV up to 500kV, renewable & electrical distribution systems.

Responsibilities include:

• Under supervision of senior engineers, develop Substation layout drawings including, plan and elevations, yard layouts, grounding, grounding details, raceway, raceway details, control building layouts, cable lists, and material lists on new and existing substations.
• Under supervision of senior engineers, develop Substation one lines, three lines, Aux AC Power Systems, DC Power Systems, DC Schematics, SCADA and Communications Systems, Relay Panel Layouts, Equipment Wiring, and Cable Schedules for new and existing substations.
• Learn engineering calculations & prepare reports under supervision/mentorship of senior engineers.
• Work under mentorship/supervision of senior engineers to prepare equipment specifications, for substation equipment, components, and construction

Minimum Qualifications

• Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• EIT or ability to obtain within 6-12 months of hire.
• 3 years experience
• Commitment to driving strong business performance, continuous improvement, and best practices.
• Hands on experience in AUTOCAD & MicroStation will be considered as an asset.
