The T&E Engineer will be supporting the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Enterprise Network System (FENS), an infrastructure contract to design, build, operate, and maintain the FAA's next-generation communications platform. The candidate should have knowledge of hardware electronic components, hardware design, development, and system implementation requirements and will also require practical networking and/or telecommunications experience. Able to define interaction and interface among different categories of requirements. Performs formal system testing activities for a particular project or subset of a larger project under supervision of more experienced personnel.

Understanding of IP networking concepts
Open Systems Interconnection (OSI) model
T1s, Ethernet, Cisco routers and switches
Wireless/Long Term Evolution (LTE) experience and/or experience with FAA radars and radios, or testing of those systems
Time-division Multiplexing (TDM) technologies preferred
Ability to work off-shift hours
Occasional travel may be required
