This is a Fully Remote Position.

Product Specification Specialists generate 2-D and 3-D drawings and renderings for various furniture projects and opportunities. "Specifiers" regularly collaborate with furniture dealers and sales representatives, helping to determine criteria required to complete the job and by providing technical support to them.

At Global, our Product Specification Specialists develop and refine their technical design skills and gain a strong foundation of skills that easily complement many different design-driven positions.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Generate 2-D and 3-D drawings for furniture projects and opportunities of various sizes
  • Responsible for changes and revisions related to projects.
  • Specify all product lines along with good understanding of product codes.

Experience/Education and Skill Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; or three to six years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Interior Design or CAD drafting Degree.
  • AutoCAD, CAP 20/20, Visual Impressions and CET Designer.
  • Comfortable checking own work.
  • AS400 Knowledge.
  • Proven track record of completing assignments in a timely manner with a proactive and self-starter approach.
  • Can multi-task, able to handle multiple assignments at one time. Strong attention to detail.
  • Must work well in a team environment and independently.
  • Read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
