Job Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

  • Develop new leads and increases market share for Coperion compounding in North America.
  • Conducts sales and technical meetings/presentations in-house or at customer locations.
  • Negotiates and closes sales with the assistance of the Sales Director.
  • Assists in developing marketing strategies and perform market research
  • Collaborate with various Coperion Divisions to provide packages for customers under the ONE COPERION goal.
  • Review customer technical and commercial inquiry packages
  • Prepare commercial and technical proposal for customers
  • Lead technical and commercial discussion and negotiation with customers
  • Coordinate with Legal Counsel to review contracts with Sales Director
  • Maintains close awareness of competitors' strategies.
  • Inputs new customer activity into the sales management software (e.g., Direct Selling) on a daily basis.
  • Coordinate communication with global Coperion sites to exchange technical and commercial information and to keep informed about the progress on ongoing projects.
  • Observes Coperion and competitor equipment conditions during customer plant visits.
  • Submits written trip report to Business Unit Manager for every customer visit.
  • Performs other tasks as assigned by proper authority.

Skills/Experience:

  • 2-3 years in engineering, technology and/or sales of capital goods i.e. plastics machinery or similar
  • Strong communication, leadership, and coaching skills
  • Solid based philosophy of sales
  • Self-motivated and driven to increase knowledge and skills
  • Expert computer skills
  • High level of integrity
  • Knowledge of Coperion material handling technology and compounding and extrusion machinery

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required.

Travel:
25%-30%
