Job Summary:

The IT Testing and Quality Assurance Analyst develops test plans facilitates testing events, and reports on testing and validation outcomes for IT applications and systems to support IT in delivering stable, reliable solutions. They verify and validate that the intended solution meets stated requirements and expected outcomes and that they work as expected. They also serve as the primary liaison between IT and operational teams for all assigned IT testing activities.

Position Responsibilities:

Collaborate with IT Teams to understand the testing and quality assurance application/system requirements. Ensure that validated test scripts, test plans and reports/dashboards meet functional and design specifications, requirements, IT best practices and standards. Leverage established testing methodologies, templates and processes.

Facilitates assists and supports IT team members to develop and maintain test scripts and related documentation. Create, document, and maintain IT test plans around new and existing business requirements and technical specifications. Identifies testing equipment, systems, access and environments needed to support testing requirements.

Coordinate, conduct and facilitate testing events as required by the application and/or system. IT testing events include application, integrated, regression, smoke, and end-user acceptance testing. Act as liaison between IT and operational teams for IT testing activities.

Capture and communicate the results of testing accurately and clearly and participate in applicable meetings. Produce metrics, analysis, and other relevant reporting deliverables and/or dashboards for team, IT Management and Internal Audit, regarding IT QA/ testing results and outcomes.

Works with IT leadership and IT Project Managers to support and facilitate IT testing activity schedules, aligning with project milestones. Prepares testing reports and dashboards for the Go/NoGo tollgate. Align with IT PMO standards and best practices.

Troubleshoot with IT team to identify, replicate, verify and report defects. Assist team to report and escalate with appropriate tools (i.e. ServiceNow, vendor ticket) and to management. Assist and support IT teams with logging and tracking issues to defect resolution.

Proactively analyzes ServiceNow incidents and change requests for assigned application suite, to continuously update and improve the test script library to account for the scenarios that resulted in incidents or change requests. Provide analysis of trends, recommendations, and feedback for improvement of IT testing practices and related processes. Is continuous improvement focused.

Position Qualifications Required:

Required Experience:

Minimum of 2 years' experience in Information Services or related area. Proficient with MS Teams and MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint. Expertise in multiple healthcare applications is highly recommended. Firm understanding of IT Project lifecycle and IT testing concepts, practice and tools.

Experience in test requirements, test preparation, execution and reporting.

Must possess effective written and verbal communication skills.

Required Education:

BA/BS in Information Systems or related field required. Combination of relevant education and experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
