Job Description

Primary Responsibilities

Exercises independent judgment in the operation and use of diagnostic ultrasound imaging and related equipment and perform vascular ultrasound and other related non-invasive vascular testing procedures, i.e., color duplex imaging to assess the carotid, venous, arterial, renal, abdomen to evaluate stenosis, pathology, patency, viability, and hemodynamic changes. Evaluate and analyze all data for disease severity, life threatening abnormalities, and pathologic changes. Maintain proper working order of equipment and process and complete preliminary report findings and.

Essential Functions

Operates ultrasound diagnostic equipment in accordance with modality processes and department and hospital policies and procedures and maintain proper working order of equipment.Performs diagnostic vascular ultrasound and non-related non-invasive vascular testing.Prepares preliminary report of findings and communicates these to the reading physician or places the preliminary findings in the patient chart.Performs other work-related duties (for which the individual is qualified by education, training or demonstrated skills) as may be assigned, by supervisor or management.Participates in on-call and call-back rotation as scheduled.Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the core values of the Hospital.
