DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Performs repairs and provides maintenance services in the building trades under supervision.
• Keeps work area clean.
• Drives Elwyn New Jersey vehicles as required.
• Uses hand tools as directed.
• Uses power tools as directed.
• Makes repairs to building and facilities as directed.
• Keeps records as required.
• Works under direction of supervisor on facility repairs and other projects.
• Makes repairs and adjustments to building related machinery and equipment as directed.
• Performs related work as assigned.
• Maintains current state-mandated training and certifications
• Follows all current policies and procedures of Elwyn New Jersey.
• Cooperates with Elwyn New Jersey and the State of New Jersey Department of Human Services, or any other authorized investigating body during an inspection or investigation.

REQUIREMENTS:

• High school graduate/G.E.D. or equivalent experience
• One year experience in maintenance or building trades.
• Must hold valid driver's license in state of residence with three years of driving experience in the United States.
• Ability to operate power tool machinery
• Ability to work as helper or laborer
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions
• Ability to use hand tools
• Ability to make minor repairs to building and building facilities.
• Ability to perform repairs and provides maintenance services in the building trades under supervision.
• Must submit to a criminal background check and be determined to be not disqualified by the New Jersey Department of Human Services prior to working with individuals served.
